  • Small dizzy prob

    Hey guys so I got lucky and was aaronbrooks old festiva only prob was it needed a dizzy I found one but it was diff.
    Anyways After all was said and done there is a small black box on the dizzy that plugs in and the wire broke off right at the back of the box.
    Wondering what it is of it's important and does any one have one or to in good shape I could but from themimage.jpg

    That's the capacitor to prevent ignition electrical static on your radio.

    Just get one off another junk yard car. Or, if you really want a used original with a good wire, then $5 shipped.

          Yeah what brave said. And no its not your problem more then likely it's the pick up inside the disty.
          Or icm inside the disty my b6d disty went out and it was the pick up.
