I put in an alternator froma ford probe, but the festiva belt isn't compatible. It's squealing and smoking because the pulley grooves don't match that of the festiva belt. What did you do?
Just swapped to probe before madness trip. As I did it in the dark of parts store parking lot I didn't notice the belt misalignment. But it does make noise and I fragged two belts in 400 miles. Does any body have the under belt bushing thickness handy? If not I'll measure it out and post back up here after I get out of the dentist's office
Be sure to use stock b3 pulley. Reman b3 has a different width "v". Probe alternator was a serpentine. Spacer bushing was same in oe and reman 50amp alternators
