  • Gas gauge half working

Hi guys, I had a new gas tank installed last year and ever since they put the new tank in, my gas gauge only works for the first 100 miles or so. However, before the shop installed the tank, the gauge didn't work at all, so I guess I can't complain. But I'd like to figure out whats causing it, and before I started taking things apart I figured I'd tap into the knowledge of the Festiva Pros.

Could this be a simple issue? Or will it require dropping the tank? If its too involved I can live with the half working gauge. If its simple...then I'd jump on this project real quick.

Access to the pump and fuel sender is under the carpet that's under the rear seat, so no need to ever drop the tank except to replace it. Probably a worn sender unit. I wonder if Four Green sells new ones? Guessing not or we'd have heard about it by now.

Anyone confirm the unit linked would work? Hardly any details about it. Is the connector right?

I can sell you a used working unit. I would first need to see a picture of what yours looks like. There are two types of wiring on EFI senders (with and without a connector).
