Help no spark

My 88 festiva cutoff the other day then started back up 3 hours later then this morning it shutoff like 3 miles from the house it has no spark what's the issue its getting fuel just no spark any help would be great thanks

Have you been able to trace the problem back to the distributor or the coil by holing the wire
close to ground when cranking the engine and looking for spark?
If it restarts after cooling off it could be the ignition module inside the distributor.
Quitting after heating up is one symptom of a deteriorating module.
Before replacing anything I'd give the whole ignition system a good wipedown to make sure it's clean.
