    on the b3 block, does it use the crankshaft or camshaft sensor, and where is it located?

    On the '91 B3 engine the ECU can only sense engine rotation by the turning of the distributor.
    No car too fast !

      by chance could this also cut fuel if it couldn't sense the rotation of the distributor?

        96 and 97 Aspires use a crank position sensor.It is mounted on a bracket down by the balancer. Earlier B3 blocks didn't have the the mounting provisions cast into the block like the 96-97.

            Yes, if the distributor doesn't work to signal the ECU, no fuel will be injected.
            No car too fast !
