I am clueless!!!!
i just joined this site/forum. I had recently bought a 93 ford festvia and with all the problems it has there is only one thing i cant figure out. my tranny locked up and i dont know how to free it. it was running fine earlier, i backed it up, parked it and now it wont shift out of park, its an automatic. PLEASE HELP!!

Locked up as in the shifter doesn't move out of park? It sounds like the brake shift interlock isn't working. Make sure your brake lights work and check your fuses. The fuse that controls the interlock should be the 10 amp fuse in the interior fuse panel that's labelled "ROOM" I've never had an automatic Festiva, but I believe there is a tab on the console you can push in to manually release the interlock.Last edited by Axlander9289; 05-29-2015, 08:11 PM.Axlander9289, brother of ThisVelologist
