I'm getting a small ticking sound from a sensor that is bolted into the driver side of the lower intake. The sensor has coolant and vacuum lines going to it. It has a large vacuum line that plugs into the side of the upper intake, and it also has another large vacuum line that plugs into the plastic air intake tube that is connected to the throttle body. There is a hose that runs from the coolant tube to the bottom of the throttle body, and another hose that runs from the bottom of the throttle body to the sensor. Does ANYONE know what this is? I looked through the Haynes manual and CANNOT find it at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am leaving for Wisconsin/Minnesota one week from today, and my girlfriend doesn't feel comfortable driving the Festiva right now, but I really want to take it.

I found the answer. It is the Idle Speed Control-Bypass Air (ISC-BPA) They didn't have a picture of it at all in the manual, but I found it in a google search: http://autorepair.about.com/library/...bl074a-lib.htm
Hope this helps others. I just have to find where to get a new one. If anyone has any idea, that would be great.90 Festiva with Brand new B3, 5spd
