Loss of power after fuel pump install help

Video explains itself, but basically the fuel pump is loud and after I drive the car for about 15 minutes or so, if I try to give it a good amount of gas it will go good till about 3k, then slow up, then max out at 3.5k and start sputtering. I installed a walbro 255 and I removed the stock pump. The walbro is being powered of of the stock Festiva fuel pump power lines. I have a full tank of gas and a Bp swap. Anyone can think of the issue?

I just put a new one on when I did my swap and have barely put 500 miles on the engine. I'll check it when I go g series in a month. Any other ideas? Is the pump supposed to be that Loud?

The stock Festiva EFI pump, removed from the tank sounds like this first sound clip when running. Ignore the second sound. I slowed the pump down with a resistor.

I have no stock pump anymore. I'm running just the walbro 255

Have you checked the fuel pressure after 15 minutes when it's acting up? Could be a bad fuel pump.

I installed a Walbro 255 in my Festiva with no issues. I can just barely hear it if I'm just sitting there idling. I think you might have a bad pump. Might I ask, did you use a hose clamp to hold the pump to the factory sender? If you did, you might have tightened the clamp too much.

If the pump is pressed into the bottom of the tank it will be loud and fuel will have a hard time getting to the pump inlet ?

My pump is under the car. I just fit a tube to the sender in the tank where the old pump used to sit so it would siphon the fuel from the bottom.

Perhaps this will help. I started a thread called "Fuel pumps for turbo installs" a while ago when installing my Walbro 255LPH pump. Follow this link. There are photos of a two or three different options.

I'm running a Walbro 255 in my Festiva tank with no fuel delivery issues and no extra discernible noise. I used the Aspire bracket and spliced the Aspire plug into the Festiva harness.

i have the gsl392 model made to be put inline. I didn't have a way to fit it in the tank it was too tall.

You must have a restriction or a connection allowing air to enter the fuel line between the tank sock and the pump inlet.

If it could fit inside there are some pretty cool benefits to having it inside the tank.
