  • Temperature gauge issue

    Hey guys,

As some of you know, I've been working on my 91 B6 4 speed and trying to get it put back together. Well I've noticed lately that when I turn the key to the "ON" position, the temperature gauge goes up all the way to Hot, even though the car has been sitting and not running. Any idea what this could be? This has been the case since I first started working on it.

I had a similar issue with my B6t swap. What fixed mine was swapping in the sender for the gauge from my b3...
Second thought is maybe your gauge is wired to the fan sender instead of the gauge sender.....
Start by disconnecting both of the senders and turning on the key.... No movements on the gauge would point you toward the sender.... Movement would point you to the wiring....
