Wiper Problems Please Help

I have a 91 Festiva love the car i have a problem with the wiper housing the driverside wiper assembly is in need to repair is there a way to remove the grate that houses the wiper motor. the area securing the driverside wiper has cracked and hoping i can tac or secure a piece to reconnect the wiper
can someone help me please

The cowl is an integral part of the car and cannot be unbolted. You would need to order a new cowl from Four Green and take it to an experienced spot welder.

I had this same problem with mine.... I drilled out the spot weld and gently lifted the cowl. Then I removed the motor, took loose the nuts that hold the wiper stub in the cowl and fabbed up a patch panel..... I used self tapping screws to fasten the patch to the under panel(that was shredded by the wiper) and then bolted the wiper arm through that. Reassembled the wiper arm and motor ans d all done....
