  • Needed: Tie Rod end for '88 Festiva

    I am in need of replacing the Right Front Inner Tie Rod end for my 1988 Ford Festiva "L".

    I'm told that the local auto parts stores [AutoZone, O'Reilly, NAPA, etc.]here in Olathe don't carry that part.

    Any suggestions as to where I can find one?

    Also, I may need assistance in locating a Right Front axle for this car.

    HELP!

    I just replaced the inner tie-rod on my 89 carbed 4 speed last month. Bought it at Autozone. The left and right are the same part. I think it was like $22.

            Tie Rod End

            I tried ordering one thru the Autozone store in west Olathe - twice!

            Both times, they got one in that had coarse threads;
            the tie rods on my '88 have fine threads.

            I found one in good condition on a junked '88 Festiva at Pick & Pull, a do-it-yourself salvage yard in Kansas City.

            Thanks.

              Try www.festivamotorsport.com, i just ordered a bunch of suspension parts, they even had my elusive automatic rear engine mount that none of the local parts stores had, or could get.

              They have performance parts as well.
