This is same set I have. It would be handy to have a special tool loaner club in each metra area. If you are replacing the bearing then a slide hammer with it attached to the car would probably work.
I paid $75 for my set.
Slide hammer through the front hub with a nut and socket on back side of hub yanks it right out a hammer and drift going back together. I have a press and a hub shark but crude and simple is fast and easy.
30 + Vehicle projects right now.7 Festiva/Mazda 10 GM IDK how many others, hope that helps explain all the stupid questions/shortcuts/interchanges etc. trying to liquidate so I concentrate on the good ones. Goal finish 1 amonth using as much stuff as I already have accumulated.
I've used a tool loaner 3-prong pulley with a socket sitting inside the hub for the puller shaft. You can pound on the rotors if you are replacing them.

Does it not matter which direction you remove the bearings, i.e. from the front or rear? In post #1 it looks like he is pulling them out the rear of the knuckle, but it sounds like you other guys are saying to pull them out the front.

This tool pushes the hub out of the knunkle. There is a disc that fits inside the bearing on the hub. The slide hammer works but is probably harder on the bearings if they are being reused. I wanted to reused the bearings because I was not sure if the if the new bearings would use the same spacers. The tool set has the spacer selection tool but I don't have a set of spacers to find the correct spacer if they need to change.

I'm still confused. Since the bearings are plainly visible in the pic, I thought it was pulling them out the back of the knuckle.

I have that same kit, works great. Bought it on ebay years ago, think my winning bid was about 60 bucks, paid something like 70 with shipping.
Did this at last madness. Same principle as the OP posted, different method. It is to knock the spindle out of the hub, the outer bearing comes out with the spindle, but both are installed into the hub with spacer and seals, then you pull/push the spindle into the hub.
If you don't have a plethora of tools, this job can still be done. Not ideal, but it works.

what's the size of that socket scitzz? This shouldn't be that much of a problem at a shop, is it?
Just picked one up that looked like it would fit, couldn't tell you
