temp check valve

Is there supposed to be a temperature check valve on the passenger side of the engine? there's one on my 88 festiva attached to a egr solenoid, but i can't find one on any vacuum diagrams.

I believe you're referring to the vacuum delay valve between the EGR valve and EGR Control Solenoid #1, which is not used on the FI engine.

Could someone post a picture of what each one looks like?

Another question I have is the temp check valve supposed to be closed when it warms up? I think mine might be leaking.
