  • Fourgreen Combination aka multifunction switch work in a 93?

I desperately need to get my Festiva back on the road. I currently have the steering column apart because my turn signals don't work due to a broken part in the multifunction switch and driving my 12 mpg van 64 miles round trip to work is getting expensive. I was going to buy the one from Fourgreen, but someone mentioned that they aren't sure if it will work in a 93. I can't find any info on the site and I'd rather not put a used one in unless that's all that will work since it will have 20+ year old brittle plastic like mine.

As I mentioned in another post, I mistakenly bought a multifunction switch from an Escort because of some info regarding the Escort wiper switch. I decided to take it apart and it had the little plastic part that was broken in my Festiva switch. I took this 10 cent piece out of the $69 Escort switch and it was a prefect fit. So, I put everything back together and no longer need a multifunction switch, but would still like to know if the Fourgreen one is plug and play for future reference.

The white plastic part on the right side of the picture is what broke.

Do the 89 autos have the white or orange lettering?

Good question... everything is white in mine now but I think I changed everything...(Instrument panel is white with tach) Colors may have been orange originally.
But I can tell you for sure that the wiring harness hooked up to the column multiswith from Fourgreen with no problem. In 89 I think there were several differences in the autos vs manual.

Mine is orange lettering. Fair warning though a lot of the harness connectors are different.

Original in Trixie (89 automatic) was orange lettering.
First two pictures and the one on the left are the orange lettered one originally in Trixie.
The one on the right and the last two picture are of a white lettered one (I think it was the original one from my 91 Gl that I sold) The harness wires in Trixie plugged into the variable wiper switch that I bought from Fourgreen.

I still have both of these and they still work.
