  • Festiva air compressor part number

I need a new compressor , been looking everywhere on parts store websites , ebay , rockauto. All photos look like have male connectors for the high and low lines. Mine is not like that. Factory ac and need correct part number

Your Compressor is most likely the Denso 10P13A type.
Most of the the ones that you find when you search on line will have the ribbed pulleys instead of the v groove pulley on the clutch.
I have bought two new ones in the last couple of years and removed the grooved clutch/pulley and replaced it with the V clutch/pulley.
It's pretty easy to do. If you old clutch/pulley is good, you can do this. or if you have the big nose crank, you can get a grooved ac pulley and idler and used the grooved pulley.

    For example:

Also many of the re manufactured ones come without the manifold so you will have to use the one on your old compressor if you get one of these (new gaskets needed for this).

Be wary of ordering Ford AC part numbers for you AC components. They are often incorrect.

Also don't forget to change the expansion valve while you are at it.

This receiver/dryer (aka filter/dryer) is most likely the one if your connectors are straight through and no 90 degree.
Make sure yours are 14 mm fittings. The ones your search for using Ford Festiva in the search usually do not fit.

    Like this: https://www.autopartskart.com/sku/fs...Fdg2gQodN6oGpA
None of the ones at RockAuto would fit mine.

Also be wary of the cheap Re manufactured ones. Sometime I thing they just clean them up and not much else.

Already have new drier , recharged with 134 and tested on machine high and low is where needs to be and blows cold. Compressor knocks like a diesel and high side needle bounces , also need to replace idler bearing.

All photos im seeing of the 10p13a type looks like does not match what i have. Could you take a picture of yours so ik for sure its got the same high and low hookup locations and are the same before work on finding one at a good price?

You wouldn't be able to find a part number on the RIB BELT clutch would you? I need to find one to fit to my Festiva compressor so I can get my AC working again

            Check this thread:
            http://www.fordfestiva.com/forums/sh...ondenso-10P13A

Shipping to Australia might be pricey.

I have another new one like this also. I bent the bearing shield on it trying trying to remove it from the compressor before I knew what I was doing. It's straightened back out and really is only cosmetically deficient.
I might be persuaded to let you have it for a small token amount plus shipping if you are interested.
