MAP sensor

I have a 89 carbed festy and I noticed the other day that there is a vaccum hose that is broken off of my MAP sensor. Well my car sometimes studders and looses a lot of power I was wondering if you guys thought that this could have any correlation. I honestly don't know what a MAP sensor does. Thanks

it shouldn't have a VAF sensor your car is carbed.....clean the carb

i don't know what a VAF sensor is but when i looked in my haynes manual it said that the thing in question was a MAP sensor, Manifold Absolute Pressure, sensor.
