So if my cooling fan is on the duration of any time the car is turned on, do I have a bad relay or switch? I found this picture to show the parts of the cooling system, I'm thinking it's the relay?

You need to use the search engine to troubleshoot this problem.
It has been explained many times before.
Try "cooling fan" in double quotes.

BeeDuhb, it's a ground fault on the low current side of the relay. Just like if you were to remove the plug at the thermostat housing.Trees aren't kind to me...

So just trace wires from the relay and look for corrosion etc?Comment
