door latch assembly locking in/out l

1991 hatchback driver door latch assembly locking up

Replaced with used part couple years ago and now doing again

could not figure out before / replaced with used and worked now same problem

will not unlock with key or lifting top door lock

Stas, if you really want to see whats going on, remove the door panel and look.

Also use lots of Mazola oil. Are the three large screws that hold the latch assembly to the door tight?
I have managed to avoid that problem.
