So I got the master cylinder and had the shop put it on and was supposed to get it back today. They called and said everything is installed and ready, but they could not bleed the front brakes because the bleeder screws rusted and broke off (they have been like that since I got the car) They said the pedal works now, but they don't recommend driving it because they wouldn't trust it. So should I get new front calipers or is there something else I can do?

Hopefully this will get here, I will install it, brakes will work, life will be good! Thanks again guys!
edit: quick question: how do I properly bend the brake line that attaches to the master cylinder port?
You should not need to bend it much.. I usually just bend it carefully using two hands...as long as you don't try to do any sharp angles, it should not crimp.
That one appears to show the output connections on the bottom. I would not buy that one. When you do a fit check, is says it does not fit your Festiva.
If you have already ordered.. you should cancel the order while you still can.Last edited by 1990new; 01-18-2017, 08:11 PM.

With all you have done to the brakes on that car I would put a new master cylinder on it too.
You can pick up one at AutoZone for less that Rock Auto Right now $39.99

You don't want that Aspire Master cylinder, that is an ABS cylinder although that's not how it is listed. You want one that looks like the one on the pic for Raybestos MC390211.

Thanks for the input guys, 1990new I don't really want to do all that and I don't have the spot in my garage anymore lol. I have decided to just buy a new master cylinder. Thank you festyboy for the recommendation, I'm no expert but it seems the part that connects to the brake booster on the aspire MC has a rod coming out of it. are there any threads or info on the aspire master cylinder swap or is it too easy to require one?
here are the two links I'm comparing:
festiva: http://www.cardone.com/Products/Prod...sn=630&jsn=630
aspire: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...sn=756&jsn=756
will this MC fit onto a festiva brake booster?

Aspire will be the most direct swap, just be sure to get the NON ABS unit. The abs unit will NOT fit the booster.

I don't know what that means but they said everything is pointing towards the master cylinder so I'm just going to buy one for $40 off rock auto. no biggie I just hope it all works. Thanks for your response I'm not concerned about the master cylinder you sent me I just want my car back on the road!!!
