Aspire Axle seals

I have an Aspire with a manual transmission. Axle seal started to leak and had both replaced (twice). The seals won't stop leaking. There appears to be some slop where the axle goes into the transmission. Mechanic says that the transmission will need replace or rebuilt to remove this slop. Any Ideas on how to proceed. ( I have a festiva 5 sp., will that swap?)

lol...be shure you have the good one!!!

depend on year, you can have 2 seal for 2 different cv axle...check where the seal lip touch th cv and measure it and the seal...i search for long time to resolve this ?%$#@$%?& trouble. even ford dealer d ont know it! but the can have the right seal :wink:
