Automatic and manual bumpers different?

Im trying to install a/c off an automatic into a manual trans. Front rebar hits the a/c fan well before it can be bolted on. Whats up with that? Are the rebars different? Did i install something wrong?

I didn't install the auto condenser fan on my manual Festiva.
However, I will install an auto radiator. The fan is there to movie air through the thicker rad.

I took that extra fan off Rosie when I switched her to manual too...no issues.

And it gets a lot hotter here than where you live.

Oh? Im not quite sure what you mean, sorry :/ is the condenser thicker on autos?

Ok! Yes, it does. I decided i wanted to keep it anyway just because it came with it and stuff....
So i cut the bumper, painted where i cut, ran the fan wire different so it would fit and cut the plastic bumper.
I probably should have just left it out for more airflow when the fan isnt running... what dictates weather the fan runs or not? Always on when a/c is on? Thermostat?

The condenser fan should run any time the a/c clutch is engaged.

yes there are 2 bumper reinforcements. one for AT and 1 for MT. the bumper covers are different also where the AT cover is notched for clearance.
