Brake Booster Hissing

    Brake Booster Hissing

    So I here a hissing noise coming from around the Brake Booster - Master Cylinder area of my little brothers car after you turn it off. I had mentioned this before and someone had recommended taking the vacuum line off of the Booster to see if it stopped the problem and it did. So my question is, should I replace the Master Cylinder or Brake Booster or is it some kind of Gasket?

    Some extra info- it seems like the brakes are functioning properly while it is running.

    That hiss is a sign of the diaphragm failing in the booster. Time to upgrade.
    Trees aren't kind to me...

      Thanks. I guess i will try to find an Aspire in the Junkyard around here somewhere.
