    ^ tires aren't precision parts so can vary somewhat in thickness, mounting, and wear. That's why people get them balanced which ocrrects for a lot of that at the time they are balance but can go out of balance over time.

      Correct, and if there is a strut weaker than the other and a tire more in balance than the other, you could take the good tire and put it on the bad strut and the vibration would decrease because the strut doesn't have to fight both the road and imbalanced tire.
      Trees aren't kind to me...

        I went with the Monroe's. I think I've put about 10K on them. I like them. They have a good feel to them. not an extremely smooth ride But you feel connected to the car and road.
