'89 Cooling System

Hi All,

Just got the water pump replaced in my dead stock '89L, 4-speed, no A/C and I have a question or two.

The system seems to have quite a bit of rust, any recommendations on cleaning it up?

And... how much does the coolant system hold? I found a figure of 5 litres, but that was on an Aussie site and I don't know if their Festiva was the same as the US model.

my haynes manual says 93 and older with out ac holds 5.3 quarts

94 and newer with ac holds 6.3

94 and newer w/o ac holds 5.8

flush the system mine was the same....
