Ok I redid my transmission and it took me longer than expected I can't remember where wires are screwed back on now for starters or anything else is there any photos you have I could reference it's a 91 festiva manual trans

You only need to plug in the wires for the backup light switch.
The reverse gear pushes in a steel ball at the tip of the switch that completes the circuit so that power flows to the rear backup lights.

You got 2 plugs on the transmisson but they shoukd be different. Not sure what the second one is for. Then the ground wire and starter wires which are obvious.

Do you mean where do the starter wires go? Or other wires?

Yes the starter wires I don't know where the wires that go to the battery go there are two wires off the positive and unsure also where the negative reconnects I apologize for my naivety and appreciate the help

Thats the ground below the clutch cable there.

The second plug on the transmission was used as a fifth gear indicator.
Once fifth gear pushed against the ball, the shift light indicator would not come on.
Do not bother with it. It's useless.
