  • instrument and corner lights always on?

So Just took my 91 gl for a drive, and it was acting as if i had turned on my lights. My corner markers, gauge cluster, air control, and the lettering for my auto trans was all lit up. When I twisted my control arm to the actual ON position My headlights turn on and off as they should but all other items stay on no matter what. Any ideas?

Spray WD-40 into the ignition keyhole- my standard reply. There are quite a few postings and photos here of the various switches on the steering column and the problems they cause when dirty, worn, corroded or any combination.

my bad lol. The issue lied in the PO's beautiful hack job cutting out the stereo. Was getting a short from the stereo illumination wire.
