  • Exhaust manifolds carbed vs FI

Does anyone here know for sure whether or not the exhaust manifolds are the same for a carbed engine and a fuel injected engine. I see the OE part # is different.

The carb ones have an extra place to the side where the pulse air tube attaches so I guess the carb ones are different iirc, Been a long time since I have seen one though.

The manifold itself should be identical, the downpipe is different. The only difference I could see that would make a difference is the flange to pipe pattern, but I doubt it. There may be a difference in the initial runner shape, but that won't affect performance.
