Starting to put back together my rebuilt B3. I got one of those crappy springed, racheting, band type ring compressors from a McParts store and its not working well at all, so I was going to get a Matco Ring Compressor set Part Number: MST75A, but it says the smallest compressor is 73mm. Factory bore size is 71mm. The shop bored the cylinders, but I'm not sure exactly how much. I will end up buying this set sooner or later, but I was wondering if I should look for another option first...

Can you measure the diameter of your new pistons? If they measure 73 mm get the Matco set. If you are under 73mm keep on looking. Have you checked with Napa? Their top lines are usually pretty decent quality.'88 Festiva LX 5 speed, A/C, Carb, restored $$$ body paint, badly wrecked @ 200k.
'93 Festiva L, 5 speed, Aqua, bought from the original owner,.Zero rust but very nasty otherwise. Awaits the B6T.
