    I have a 1991 Festy, no A/C. Problem is that there is no power to the motor speed switch. The the blower motor is shot BTW. I see in the wiring diagram that there is an inline fuse. I cannot find said fuse, or at least the type of inline fuse that I am looking for! I looked under the drivers side dash, around the master cylinder, around the battery.... I have 12v coming out of the ignition switch and the heater fuse in the panel, but NOTHING at the speed control switch, resistor, or the motor itself. Any ideas?

    You may have lost a connection somewhere between the supply and the switch. Keep tracing the wires that have power until you find where it lost it.

      This will help.
      Power travels directly from the heater fuse to the blower motor.
      There is no inline fuse.

        Perform a continuity check on your blower motor.
        It sounds like it's fried.
        The motor grounds through the blower motor switch.

          Thank you for the suggestions. As I stated, I know the blower motor is shot (brushes completely gone). I plan to buy a new one this morning. The wiring diagram in my Haynes manual clearly shows an inline fuse, but we all know that publication isn't as accurate as we would like it to be! I was hoping to not have to un-wrap the wiring harness to follow the wire into the engine compartment, and to not tear apart the dash to physically inspect it. There is also a "electronic control".... couldn't find that either, but my diagram only showed the wiring for an A/C equipped car. I will check in after I install the new blower, which for the non A/C car is $65 instead of $45

            I believe the inline fuse is an a/c thing, and the electronic control may be the resistor that is necessary for the 3 speed function of the fan and it may be good and in place, but you won't know until the fan runs.

              The blower motor resistor is screwed to the blower housing.
              There are three resistors. One for each speed.
              Which one grounds, depends on where the control switch is positioned.
              You can test all three resistors by simply removing the four position connector and checking all three terminals.
              The higher the resistance, the slower the fan speed.

              If the motor is kaput, you will not get any juice to the blower motor resistor.
              You will also not get any juice to the blower motor if the ignition switch is not in the ON position.

                So I made a set of brushes and got the motor working, installed it, and BAM, back in business! One of the resistors has failed, but not a problem, at least I have a blower! I'm pretty good with wiring, but cannot understand why I could not detect any power at the switch connector. Maybe the ground to my test light wasn't good enough, maybe my hair is too short :fofd: I suppose I will stay awake for many nights until I figure it out, but the important thing is that I had peeps on this forum willing to lend me a hand when I asked. Thank you!
