engine wont rev up

any info pls. already changed distributor, coil, plugs, and just about anything else i can find. but engine will still not rev up. it almost sounds like its getting no gas. any ideas guys changed the vaf today also fuel pump. still the same hmmmmmmmm :? problem solved dang repair shop put distributor back to gether wrong, had the post that rotor goes on in off center also timing belt was out 3 notches :evil: 3 day of searching grrr :evil: now it runs just perfect

Are we talking about a FI car??
If so it sounds like a fuel pump , just a start .
When my pump went dead ,it would idle ,but would not rev at all,as soon as you push on the gas pedal it would bog .

^^that's also what happens when the vaf is messed up..

also happens when the catalytic converter is clogged

have a mechanic do a back pressure check

can also be checked with a vacuum gauge
