  • B3 fuel injection system - everything you wanted to know

I was reading the service manual and found some of this interesting. Before i got this manual I didnt know there was a barometric pressure sensor in the ECU, that the injectors fired twice for each intake cycle up to 5k rpm but only once above that, that 6400rpm is the fuel cut-off, that we had a 'crank position' sensor in the distributor, that the cold idle bypass valve operated up to 140f, that the ecu calculates manifold vaccum based off the crank sensor and vaf and so on. Just in case anyone else finds this stuff interesting here you go.

If you put a wideband sensor on it you can tell when it switches from dual to single pulse. Air fuels would be around 14.7 then at the switch over they would jump rich or lean depending on the injectors I had installed. What year manual is this from? I believe my 91 had slight differences in its manual.
