  • Cam Sprocket ?

I think I read on the forum at some point, that you can use Any Mazda B - series cam sprocket on our 1.3's, would that include DOHC versions? (as long as they have 46 teeth ?) Or IF anyone has one of those adjustable sprockets from FMS - PM me.

Dohc camshafts are a larger diameter than sohc. A centering ring needs to be made to fit a dohc gear on a sohc camshaft.

You mean so the attachment bolt is not the only thing keeping the sprocket centered ?

There is also a little metal protrusion that holds it in place.

Yes there's enough play in the bolt hole it won't center just on the bolt. Basically need a hubcentric ring for the gear.
