Ok I finally got my festiva running had to replace the fuel pump. any hoot it has a hard start and runs rough it has a few leaks around the valve cover so I went to replace the gasket. when I took off all the plastic/vent hole stuff they are soaked in oil like tons all the way to the mass air meter. Questions i have it could be valve seal leaks? or maybe to much blow by from the rings (loosing compression). If i want to do a compression test what numbers would be good/bad. I think if all the numbers where in the 130 ish range would be fine? is their some other place i can look that would make the intake track full of oil? the pcv seems to be working. thanks

Mine compression in mine is 138(lowest) and 142 (highest) and blow-by is a good possibility, i was also told in some cases it could be the valve guides. mines were also full of oil in my Truck-Tiva, i replaces the PCV valve, clean everything out, and it didn't come back.
