Well as the title says i have been chasing my tail on this one....i recently put a 323 exh manifold on my b3 (sorry haven't put a post on the install and results yet)...after install it ran quite a bit better and has a slightly deeper exhaust/motor sound to it...but this was the beginning of chasing my tail. What entailed was 3 weeks of adjusting carb and disty for max mpg..problem was no matter what adjustment i made the dang thing would run great until i came to a stop at which point it may die or not 50/50 shot..and i could not duplicate mpg from day to day(was like a drunk squirrel hunter...all over the place) on same test area i drove...didnt take long to figure out it was a vacuum leak..which i could not find...ended up being my homemade mounting plate...it has a hairline crack coming off of where the bolt hole was drilled for carb mount. So what i am getting at is i think this problem has been there for quite sometime but woth the addition of more air out it accentuated my unknown problem! So i know have a rocketman adapter will be installing soon and hopefully this will solve all this thanks to all on this site u all r a great help solving problems.

Will do ......hoping to have time this weekend im hoping i dont run into any other issues....it has been 4 years since i put the escort carb on..i am thinking i installed the carb turned backwards due to the linkage ie the way it turned was an issue and had to change out the end link with the one off of the old carb so it would work properly so i am hoping the rocketman adapter doesnt make me turn the carb back around i cant tell just yet which way the carb will set on it so im sure i will have fun doing it talk to yall later

Ok so took me a little longer to get to this but finally got it done...really like the adapter very easy to do...does make everything sit higher but still clears the hood..barely...also had to bend the throttle cable holder back a bit due to the whole assembly sitting higher but other than that no other adjustment was needed...luckily i had enough slack in my fuel line....drove up and down road will be having to do some tuning but overall a sweet install....really like the adapter
