NEED HELP ASAP guys changed engine and wont turn over!

Ok guys heres the deal,

Had trouble with crank seal since I got it
never burnt tank but took 3 crank seals.

so I decided to put another engine I had in a Festiva long time ago which ran mint.

Now we went to start it and did not turn over

Rear lights work
inside lights work
stereo light works

Front lights dont work
and wont turn over.


So now what could this be?

All ran good before took engine out.

any help guys I would appreciate.

My car is 92 Festiva automatic

is the little wire connected to the starter too, along with the battery wire?

we tryied everything
now all the lights work

but wont turn over

are all of the engine grounds connected?

and do you mean the starter does not work at all???
or does it not fire???

no current going to starter
but when plus directly with cables and direct on baterie it turns over fine

check the center fusible link just behind the battery

check the ground on the left side of the engine bay that grounds to the strut tower mine was disconnected and it wouldn't start

since the headlights don't work i'd be most likely to fault the center fusible link as mechanicaldj said... that relay will make your starter not work and your headlights go out.

i know from experience... stuck in the rain. lol.
