It worked good with the squeeze release and then all at once the squeeze thing feels like nothing and the ignition key won't turn the lock. My old festive did that and I never did figure it out, I crawled over the seat once and got it to release and then it worked for awhile. Is there a cure for this.

if you look at the latch from the inside of the vehicle, you will see a little lever to manually unlock it, if that dont work, pull the cover off the hatch and you can push the rod to open it. Mine froze up from not using it in awhile.69 Shelby GT-350, 351W, 4 spd

will the key turn inside the locking mechanism, if so mine did the same thing i just had to take the inside panel off and adjust where the handle opens the hatch
