  • Socket for headbolts?

I give up - what should I be asking for? "12 point torx-like-thing" is drawing blank stares at the tool stores.

i belive they are called "double-hex" sockets
or 12 point sockets i think

    1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
    1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Yeah just use a half inch drive 12 point socket to take them out. I cant recall for sure but I think they were only like a 14 or 16mm

For the B3 and B6 the head bolts are 12mm, 12 pt... when you put them back in make sure you torque them to the specs shown in the haynes manual
          No festiva for me ATM...

This ain't no normal 12 point bolt head:

Went to four or five different places and could not find a socket that fit. Finally ended up using a 6 point 1/2" socket, tapped on with a small hammer. I hate it when stuff like this happens :-)

They are 12mm 12 point. 6 point will screw them up.
