88 Festy carb problems?

The engine revs to about 4500 when I depress the clutch, which was recently replaced, but this didn't start happening until a few weeks after that. When not in gear, it idles so poorly that I will stall at stoplights if I don't keep my foot on the gas. I've used gum-out and spray carb cleaner, played with the throttle adjustment (which makes the problem worse).

Where are the fuel/air and idle screws on this carburetor?

Check for vacuum leaks before you do anything else. Maybe a hose is off?

Chage the fuel filter again and add the yellow bottle of heat and carefully look for vacumme leaks.

Take the breather part way off and see how it acts.
