does anyone have a new or used fuel pressure regulator for the b6t they want to get rid of? i think mine might be bad and i would rather not pay for a new one and that not be the problem. so id like to see if any one is selling there used one if they have upgraded to a better one.

also what are symptoms of a bad regulator?

When mine went bad my engine would "loop". Seemed like a bad misfire and sometimes it would die.

Poor gas mileage, running lean, running rich, all kinds of stuff.

Get a Fuel Pressure tester kit and test it out.

Hook it up. If you have low pressure then pinch the return line. If the pressure goes UP a lot it's most likely the regulator. If it doesn't go up, it's most likely the fuel pump.

You can also hook up a vacuum pump to the regulator and do a few more tests. They're in the haynes manual.
