efi to card swap/transaxle check

I am installing a good efi engine into a 88 carb model. Are the intakes interchangeable? Does the camshft have a lobe to drive the mechanical fuel pump?
Also is there anyway to test a transaxle short of installing it? I called around and none of the shops here have a dyno for fwd vehicles. Any ideas?
