  • fans not working cooling issue

I did my search and no similar threads. Fans not working. Checked my fuses, nada. Fans look good, still need to test w/hot lead. i don't know where the heat/fan sensor is located and I cannot locate my repair manual! Has anyone ever made a direct lead to a switch and basically manually turned the fans on? Is it overkill? Pepe stays moderately cool as long as I keep the radiator full so no major mishaps yet. I'm going back to that thread that has the manuals on CD and see what I can find.

Thanks again for all the help in the past and any feedback is always useful.

Unplug the temp sensor on the water neck. The fan should come on. If not check the connections at the fan motor and the relay for corrosion. The manual has a good extensive troubleshooting section just for the fan circuit. Go to the library and see if they have a copy.

you didnt do enough research cause i posted the same question about 1 month ago. but the answer to the question is going to be either the temp sensor on the water neck or the fan relay behind the driverside headlight.

Good luck, i still havent fixed mine yet, the car just doesnt get hot enough especially in the cold weather wit the heat on.

Thanks mucho mucho! Unplugeed the sensor on the main neck and now that main fan stays on! I need that in TX. I am still curious about that fan relay behind the light and would that get that little fan in front of the radiator to come on. I could really use that during the summer. Thanks for the assist ,now back to that oil pan gasket, 4th time and counting. Wife just shakes her head now.

If you have A/C just turn it on , the cooling fan should come on also.
