  • Transmission leak that won't stop

Hello again everyone, I have a 93 manual festiva L. I replaced both drive axle oil seals and the drive axles will not stop leaking from the case. Has this happened to anyone else? What did you guys do about it?
    Thanks for the help,
    Denny

I suspect you don't have one of the drive axles in all the way.

Yeah check the axles, also get under your car with a flash light and look for a hairline crack in your case.

My car was leaking from the brandnew axle seal I put in Grrr.

With all the trouble you had getting those axles in you may have damaged the seal. If so it will have to be replaced.

Alright so the oil seals for the driveaxles came in. I'm out taking care of things and the festiva is really really hard to get into gear all of a sudden. When I put it in reverse she just grinds. Should I just get a new used tranny or should I try to deal with this crap? If I should get a used trans does anybody want to get rid of a good 5 speed trans for a 93?
