water leak

Checked out similar threads, found nothing recent like what I am experiencing. Slow water leak at present, drips from front of oil pan. Going under later today to take a peek.
Any help is always appreciated.

Common leakers on my car are the bypass hose, the small one on the front by the radiator. It has a very sharp bend, and it always leaks. The other is behind the exhaust manifold, where the two pipes join. The washer inside there breaks down and leaks.

If it is your small bypass hose that comes off the T-stat housing ,
It is no longer available , so you will need this one ..

Gates hose part # 18206 and on the other side of the tag is #0 72053 19142 4

At the front of the oilpan? I'd say worst case, water pump. But check the heater hose on the back of the engine. Maybe the lower radiator hose or like oxbrain said behind the exhaust manifold, where the two pipes join, but that's a little ways away from the front of the oilpan.

Isn't there a weep hole in the water pump that leaks when its going bad?
I use the following gates hose to replace the by pass hose packrat was talking about. It had the pre bend needed to keep from kinking. I just cut to size.

heat sheild!!!!!!!! Almost got it off and I ran out of juice. Water sees to be coming from that area.

When you say front of the oill pan what do you mean? Front as if you're looking at the engine or the actual front of the engine, the side with the pulleys?

Front of the motor as if you were standing facing the pulleys, passenger side. Underneath the drip comes from directly in the middle of the front lip of the pan. Still have to get that sheild off before I can go further and those bolts heads are rusted off.

I'd say it's your pump. I've had 3 go bad and they all leaked that way.

I agree has to be water pump
