I'm looking at another Festiva, with 110Kmiles to potentially replace my 195K festy. It's a 93 5speed EFI. There's an oil leak that seems to be concentrated in the front top area of the engine. Hopefully, it's just the valve cover gasket. What concerns me is the oil is pooled around the spark plugs and with the car running, the oil bubbles near one of the spark plugs. The oil hasn't been changed in a while. rather murky, and evidence of sludge inside the oil cap.
What do y'all think? The car runs fine, and the heater works well!, although there is a hell of a rattling racket coming from the tailpipe area. I assume it's got a loose bracket. Anything else major I should look for? Reasonably priced at around $800. Clutch probably has a year or two.
