Working on an 89 festy L, carb'd
When I opened the timing cover, the cam gear retaining bolt was broke and the little dowel pin that holds it in place was also sheared. I removed the remnants alright, but I can't seem to find a replacement for the dowel pin. Dealer says it's obsolete, so now I'm desperately trying to locate a suitable substitute.
I have 2 more Festy's in the back yard and tried to remove the pin from one but there is not much to hold on to. The other one has  the same problem.
If I have 2 like that, I bet some of you have also had the problem.
Where do I find an exact replacement without replacing the whole cam?(like the dealer suggested)
or...
