Switched back to white gauges today. found white face tack/speedo at the pick n pull.checked out what i told ajb999 If you have the white headlight switch and want to switch to the orange one ,the white plug from the harness has three wires. black, red with orange tracer, red with blue tracer. jump the two red wires and your light's will work

I want to get clear on this. Here is the wires coming out of the white light switch lever, they are green, white, and red.

It plugs into this connector under the dash which has a black wire, a red wire with a yellow stripe on in, and a red wire with a black stripe on it,

Are you saying that in order to get the marker lights to work the two reds, the one with the yellow stripe and the one with the black stripe in the dash need to be connected. And if so what do you do with the remaining black wire?

elcamino1 you are the man. I made a little jumper out of an old plug off the wire harness from the tail lights of the parts car. Just plugged it into the three wire plug that goes to the headlight/turn signal switch and presto. Not sure why it works. If you ground the red wire with the yellow stripe the headlights come on. If you ground the red wire with the black stripe the headlight relay clicks. If you connect them to each other all the functions work properly.

it doesn't work. the parking/marking lights stay on all of the time if you jump the wires. sorry, never got around to it and just got your pm and went straight out and tried. too bad it doesn't work. i'll have to look for an intermittent wiper module to replae it w/ i guess.

That is what SHOULD happen if you jump those wires. You have to swap out the light stick in the cluster with the stock festiva one. its a matter of 2 screws. But becareful, you can' tlose those 2 little metal balls. I swapped this way, everything works perfectly.
Of course the red makes it go faster..
