If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

HePing,
Friend just had both front bearings replaced, new rotors, new pads, and new shoes in the rear for $200!
So you may want to find someone else, or get the extra large drum of "Personal Lubricant"!
You might need CV joints, but it is easier and cheaper to replace the axle itself, rebuilt axles usually 50-$60!'93 Blue 5spd 230K(down for clutch and overall maintanence)

Not sure about the wheel bearings. Had mine on a 96 Elantra done for $180 (included parts, labor, and labor to change the timing belt I had already bought). The CV axles and tie rod ends are easy enough to do. I was able to find CV axles in scrap yards here in denver for $45. I was surprised how easy it was. Make sure you get the right CV axles. I first got an automatic for my standard and it wasn't going in.

do you think that i would be able to do the repairs myslef in like 15 days so i don't lose my 150 i have spent to get the car registered cus if it can't pass inspection then i lose that. I mean i have never done anything more then change the brakesum...

Just make sure you have the parts. That was the biggest hold up when I did it. CV Axles and tie rod ends. Mine were from a junk yard so it was waiting until they were available and in good condition. But 15 days and not having done more than changing brakes might overwhelm you. You might get a break from the repair place if you have it all done there (bearings, axles, tie rod ends). Besides if the weather over there is anything like it's going to be here over the next 15 days it aint looking good.

Sometimes it costs more just because they are pressed in, if they arent pressed the job can go faster, its usually 10$ f\per bearing in the front plus the labor costs, hopefully you didnt get any damage to the housing where the bearing seats, if so you just need to go grab another one off a used car. Be sure and do those bearing, nothing worse then doing more damage to the hub or having a bearing go flat and seize up when driving, its scary. Get em fixed right away, just shop around for a good price like the others stated. If you continue to drive on em you could get hurt so take care of it.
Also maybe do those CV's at the same time, I would consider bearings more important over the CV's if you dont have the money at this time, cause like i said its scary when a bearing seizes up.
Take care and good luck getting a good price.
