  • tail light fuse??

    my 93 i just bought keeps popping the tail light/dash light fuse. i know its a short but i dont know where. i didint know if this was a common problem and someone might could tell me where this short is likely to be. thanks!
    1993 5 speed FI. 2-5/8" tach, short throw, muffler delete. SOLD
    1993 5 speed FI. A/C! muffler delete, 2-5/8" tach, 5% tint, 14" alum. wheels, JVC head unit, 2 MTX 10" subwoofers. 195K

    i have two festivas and they have not blown the fuse as described.

      Are your taillight gaskets good? You could be getting water down on top of the lights.

        haha no i bought the car rearended and the driver side is red tape!! could that be the problem?

          there's your problem the water is shorting out the contacts on the bulb and blowing the fuse

            heyy it was where when it was rearended a license plate light was sandwiched between 2 pieces of metal. the insulation was rubbed off. a couple connectors and some electrical tape fixed it! thanks to those who helped

              mine does the same thing and there is no water getting in, i just changed the fuse from a 15 to a 25 and it hasn't happend since.
