tranny reassembly

does anyone know if u need to have the tranny in a certain gear when u put the housing back together.
i can't seem to get my tranny to work right, i put it back together in neutral but after i install, it will not go into reverse or five, & will not go all the way into neutral. i have taken it apart & put it back together twice now with the same results. :x

sounds like you just aren't getting the forks lined up w/ the synchro sleeves.

I did a quick job on an Aspire because I need to get it on the trailer on the last day of class. I didn't have 1 or 2 so I had to drive it up on the trailer in 3rd. I'm sure that was really what the new clutch needed :roll:
