Speedo how to

I have to replace the insturment cluster in my 90 auto.

Does it take a wrench to disconnect the cable from the cluster? If so what size wrench?

I can see where the speedo cable goes into the auto trans. But, I cannot see how it is attached. How do I remove the cable from the transmission?

I don't really know about the auto trans, but on the cluster side you don't need a wrench, there is just a white clip that with a tab you press to disconnect. I know on the 5 speed you just take out one 10mm bolt and then you can pull the whole cable assembly out of the transmission

Were is the 10mm bolt? On top of the trans? On the side? I did not see one. Is it closer to the front, back, driver side or passenger side?

Follow the cable down to the trans. unscrew the cable or pull the speedo drive buy removing the 10mm bolt twist and pull
